Hello everybody, my name is Jonas.
I am a student in germany, and i’m about to start my first adventure bike jurney.
The objective is to ride the Trans Europe Trail (TET) from Slowenia to Greece.
This means i am about to ride 3500km offroad along the Mediterranean Sea, so naturally my first pick for a bike was a brand new Yamaha Tenere 700 equipped with the newest technology and the finest of camping equipment.
However as i’ve mentioned before, i am a student so obviously i dont have anywhere near the amounts of money for a bike like that…
But what i do have is this:
A 1989 Kawasaki Klr 650!
Is it as Powerful as a Tenere? Hell no!
Is it as Heavy? Definitely!
Is it a reliable offroad bike? Well, it propably was 30 years ago!
So as you can see this adventure will definitely be just that… an adventure.
There is a fine line between excitingly dangerous and outright stupid, and i am not yet sure on which side i am.
So wish me luck and if you want you can come back tomorrow and read my next article.
But until now, i really gotta go, its 10AM right now and i’m leaving at 11!

Wish you lots of fun, thrill and god vibes. I was not able to decipher everything in writing due to picture in background but it sounds that great. The KLR will be a reliable workhorse capable to carry you much further.

Allzeit gute Fahrt ?
Nehme einen huntergrund wo man den text besser lesen kann. So ist es recht mühsam. Geniesse deinen fahrt und begegnungen.
Man kann das leider sehr schlecht lesen weil das ins Foto reingeschrieben wurde. Mal abgesehen vom Englisch hab ich große Mühe damit. Schade. Dir wünsche ich aber nur das Beste für Deinen Trip.

Hallo Jonas, ich hab eben das Abschiedsfoto von deinem Dad auf Facebook bei TET gesehen.
Und hab ganz interessiert deinen ersten Eintrag gelesen. ICH BIN NEIDISCH!
diese Reise wirst du definitiv dein Leben lang nicht vergessen.
Ich bin übrigens Phillip, 38 Jahre jung selbstständiger Handwerks-Unternehmer und nun auch Papa einer kleinen Tochter.
Mit anderen Worten, ich komme nicht mehr zu solch einer Tour.
Jedoch habe ich in meinen 20iger Jahren auch Europa mit dem Motorrad bereist…KTM 950SuperEnduro sowie KTM SXC625.
Die Wahl deines Motorrads ist super….keine anfällige Elektronik denk ich nur.
Mach viele Fotos und sauge jeden Augenblick auf….
Ich werde gespannt deine Beiträge verfolgen.
