Riding the TET (Day 14 | Greece )

When i departed from the Campsite after staying there for a few days, i went Back to the trail and followed it for about 60km. At Forst the Road was very fun, dense rocks. At some Point i even came to a Spot where i had to work with the clutch. Afterwards the Road was packed dirt with big Rocks and Sometimes even some steps where the Rain had washed away small parts of it.

Afterwards my experience however turned for the worse. The Road became very slippery due to a thick layer of gravel so i had a really hard time staying upright. After some time of riding my Front wheel slipped away and i had a minor crash. Thankfully nothing on my Bike broke so i continued pretty quickly but i didn’t feel good riding the slippery roads.

Demoralized of that experience i decided to head to Ioannina to Look for a Campsite at which to stay. The fact that there is only one Campsite listed on the Internet thats relatively Close to the denser Part of the City, Made my choice easy and i headed there.

On my way i bought a new Air Pump and this one even had a gauge on it! That was when i discovered that the Guy who filled Up my tyres had actually filled Them to the normal pressure for motorcycles (about 2.2 bar). This however combined with the fact that my new tires are Made for Bikes that are way heavier than Mine (Like 100kg heavier…) Gave a perfect explanation to why i did Not seem to have any traction Offroad that day! I lowered the pressure to 1.3 in the front and 1 bar in the rear.

At night i walked around town and exploded the hundreds of small Side roads, sat in a cafe and wrote a article for my Blog. All in all ioannina is a very beautiful City and i enjoyed my stay (even though the Campsite was only ‘okay’ at best).
