Riding the TET (Day 7 | Montenegro)

When I awakened, it was about 7 o clock.

The hotel staff had told me about a free breakfast the morning before.

So I went down into the restaurant and ate until it was 9 o clock. I am pretty sure the hotel staff thought I was going to pass out from overeating, little did they know what day I had had the day before…

I then rode north to Savnik, where I headed onto the TET again. It was a steep road up into the mountains.

At first it was nice curvy asphalt roads,; hen I continued on gravel, that later turned into grass roads.

Way up in the mountains it was very beautiful and the view was awesome!

Sadly I had the slight fear of running out of fuel, because I had not stopped at a gas station for quite a while.

Then the road went downhill again.

It was a very steep and rocky gravel road and a few times my front wheel slipped, but i always managed not to crash.

I turned Off my engine to have less fuel consumption and that was perfectly possible, because the road lead downhill for about 15 minutes of riding.

Then it went steep uphill again, before another 15 minutes of downhill, but this time on paved road.

When I was down in the valley, near a river (near Stanci), I went on a big road in order to look for a gas station. I went south and when I found one, I noticed that I was close to the TET heading to the border.

So again I skipped a bit of the TET.

To be honest I did not want to stay another night in Montenegro, because at that time it was a “high covid risk country”…

When I was in Albania, I decided to follow the TET until I found a good campsite.

So i went on until Boge, where I found a nice campsite directly next to the TET, where I decided to stay for the night.

In the evening I got to experience a beautiful sunset, that painted the mountains around me in spectacular orange and purple colours. However i was so tied up by the beauty of the moment, that I don’t have any Pictures…
